Standing with SUEZ: Calling Time on Abuse Towards Waste Workers

We’re proud to support SUEZ’s ‘We Refuse Abuse’ campaign, which runs throughout August and shines a light on the unacceptable rise in violence and aggression faced by waste industry workers on an almost daily basis.

The campaign highlights the abuse suffered by collection crews, street cleansing teams, and staff at household waste recycling centres; individuals who work hard every day to keep our communities clean and safe.

We work closely with waste collection providers all across the UK and know first-hand the dedication and professionalism shown by these teams. No one should face intimidation, verbal and physical abuse or vandalism of their equipment simply for doing their job – and yet, as the powerful short film released alongside this campaign shows – it’s a reality for too many.

At Endurance, we wholeheartedly support SUEZ and all frontline workers in the waste sector. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and we wholeheartedly endorse those calling for an end to this behaviour.
